Sorrento, famed in both music and film, with its narrow busy
centre - great restaurants - and the haunting ruins of Pompei,
nestling in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius.
With open-air piazzas, flower filled balconies and tumbling
hills, Sorento has sent out its sirens call for centuries. But
neither the Roman Emperors or writers such as DH Lawrence have
been able to resist the isle like jewel of Capri with its famous
Blue Grotto – only a jet foil ride away from Sorrento
in the bay of Naples.
