Situated a vast private agricultural estate, surrounded by peaceful green hills yet just 1200 metres from the ancient town of Camaiore and within 10 minutes drive of the coast. and Pietrasanta. Originally built for the farmers own occupation, he will bring you fresh tomatoes and invite you to pick the herbs and fruit from their adjoining land. On arrival guests will find a small arrival pack and bottle of wine with our compliments.
Art and history lovers will find numerous towns and villages to visit in the neighbourhood including enchanting Pietrasanta. Food and wine lovers will rediscover age—old dishes and have the opportunity to try out new flavours in this area renouned as a gourmets paradise.
Recently built, house stands on a gentle sloping hilliside with stunning panoramic views across terracotta rooftops and the the valley. The semi—detached property is divided into two units, Casa Pino Alto and Casa Pino Basso. Pino Alto is reached via an independent driveway from a private road at the lower end of the estate. The gated pool, includes changing room, shower and W.C. is separated from the house by a paved pathway making this a good choice for families with children. The other side of the property is rented during summer months and has it's own independent pool.
The poolside area is lush with olive trees & blossoming oleanders wuth panoramic views over the gentle surrounding hills. Our guests here will appreciate a good standard of accommodation combined with the idyllic country setting yet so close to Camaiore town with it's famous Trattorias,Delis, and the sea.
The nearest restaurant to Agricola Montebello is Il Centro Storico (1.2km, 15 mins walk), or about the same distance is Le Monache (typical Tuscan fayre. There is a small grocery store (selling typical produce and fresh bread) which also has a small bar which is only 3 minutes walk. You can walk into Camaiore centre in about 20 minutes where you will find many restaurants, bars, shops and delis where you can buy local home made produce to take back to the property and enjoy on the terrace whilst taking in the fantastic view.
Just 10 minutes drive away is Viareggio a bustling resort and working seaport - fishermen sell their catch at the seaside and we've enjoyed many a seafood barbque at Pino Alto.
Pino Alto is one half of Villa Pino which is a semi detached with Villa Cedro. The pools are completely independent of eachother.
Casa Pino Alto. Small, functional kitchen with dishwasher, gas hob,fridge/freezer. Interior is simply but comfortably furnished in local country style intended for relaxed summer living. Good size living room with TV & DVD player. 3 bedrooms.(one double, 1 twin and 1 single with an additional pull out single bed). 1 full bathroom. 1 shower en—suite to major double.
Exterior; Washing machine. Stone built barbeque and individual outside eating area. Landscaped communal garden. Private driveway and parking for three cars. Large grassy play area. Shares 12m x 6m pool with Pino Basso, Depth 1.20 – 1.3— metres, steps at shallow end. Pool house under pool.
We had an excellent holiday at Pino Alto. It is in a lovely and peaceful location within a short walk of Camaiore town centre which has a range of restaurants. Big plus points are the well maintained grounds and the swimming pool. The accommodation is of a high standard- the only note of caution being the shower arrangements in the en-suite bathroom which results in most of the bathroom floor getting wet and slippery. While there you must visit Lucca.
We have also previously booked a property in France (near Biarritz) via Bridgewater and found that also to be of a high standard. |

This easy to find apartment exceeded all of our expectations. The internal layout is spacious, quiet and cool in the heat with two large bedrooms, well-appointed bathrooms (one en suite) and a more than adequate and well sited kitchen. The outside space includes a large brick built barbecue area at the rear and a pleasant veranda to the front with fantastic views to the pool and over the valley to Camaoire and beyond. Security arrangements are good and the pool is well sited and quiet as is the whole environment. There is a charming and useful small shop and bar/restaurant only 5 minutes away and the genuinely rustic town of Camaoire is only minutes in a car. The beaches, Pietrasanta, Lucca and Pisa airport are all easily accessible by car.
The Pino Alto & Bridgewater represents good value and service (especially for first timers) and I strongly recommend it.

| In spite of worse than average September weather, we enjoyed our stay at Pino Alto. It is comfortable, well located relative to the local town, and convenient for expeditions to the sea or futher afield. The swimming pool would be a great asset in better weather. |

Pietrasanta is one of Italy‘s best kept secrets. Loved by locals and Italians yet relatively undiscovered by foreign tourists. From revelling in the artistic treasures and architectural wonders of the old town square to enjoying a glass of full—bodied red beside a hillside of olive trees or soaking up the sun on the wide golden beaches of Versilia, Pietrasanta‘s kaleidoscope of pleasures will intoxicate your mind and enrich your soul any time of the year.
Charming and stylish, Pietarsanta is now the haunt of the internationally famous (Sir Paul Smith loves the Enotecca restaurant and so does Gina Lollobridgiga. See what Sir Paul Smith had to say about Pietrasanta in the Sunday Times Magazine here) Henry More, Bottero (the Spanish artist whose paunchy warrior guards the entrance to the village), Mitoraj have all spent time working here and exhibiting their works of art, but then, we knew it first! Bridgewater make paths for others to follow! The town is abundant with authentic restaurants serving food to satisfy the most discerning of pallets and café life spills out on to the square. Both days and evenings can be idyllically passed away in this charming medieval town perhaps with a cappuccino or glass of local wine in your hand. Traffic is mostly banned, allowing the artists to set up their easels in the street and show off their latest masterpieces.
From nearby Forte dei Marmi it is possible to take boats daily trips to the Cinque Terre, Portofino, Elba Island, Capraia Islan. Rennaisance Florence and charming Siena are only an hour away from Pietrasanta, Pisa with its famous leaning tower is 30 minutes drive, the ancient walled city of Lucca is 20 minutes by car, The marble Caves of Carrara are a short distance and Puccini‘s villa where he lived wrote his operas on Torre del Lago is only 20 minutes drive.
