A quiet location yet with easy acess to many wonderful shops, restaurants and of course those famous towers!! Access to the property is via an unpaved but well- maintained road.
Two charming barns each sleep 4 or rent the two together to sleep 8.
Fienile
70 square metres. A double entrance with glass doors allowing guests to enjoy a wonderful view from the house. The large windows with characteristic grill give the rooms a very good light. The upper floor has two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with a bunk-bed. The day-time area on the ground floor consist of a kitchen with a our ring cooker, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, toaster and all necessary cooking equipment. Opposite the kitchen area there is a large meal-table surrounded by a bench built into the wall and four chairs. The bathroom with a wide shower cubicle is preceded by an area with a large cupboard for the storage of various household items such as blankets, extra pillows and cleaning products.
Below the entrance gallery we have an are for relaxation with a sofa and satellite tv. Next to the dining area we have the kitchen door leading to a patio with garden furniture for the exclusive use o the Barn guests. Here one enjoys an unique view of the valley and can pass hours of relaxation in perfect privacy. The house has independant heating.
Girasole
80 square metres. The home is composed of a large day-time area with a double entrance. There is a large cherry-wood table I the centre of the room with a bench and chairs for ten people. On one side of the room there is the kitchen corner with an open fireplace. The kitchen has a four ring cooker, a toaster a refrigerator an all the equipment necessary for cooking. On he opposite side o the rooms there is a graceful glass-doored cabinet dating back to the thirties, tv set with sofa and armchairs.
On the upper floor we have two bedrooms, the first of which very large with a double bed and the possibility of adding a third bed and the other with two single beds, and bathroom with shower cubicle.One enjoys a splendid panoramic view of San Gimignano and the surrounding countryside from the windows.The surrounding garden is pleasantly equipped for sitting in the open air, the house has independant heating
We rented both villas for two weeks in June.The location was fantastic, very secluded but only a few minutes walk (albeit up a steep hill)to town. The villas themselves were very clean and practical, and were extremely conmfortable. The views were amazing. Without a doubt the highlight were Hugo and Lucia, who take care of the property and live there. They were wonderfuly hospitable and made us feel most welcome. We had a great experienece and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area. |
