Ground floor:
From the limestone entrance, one enters through the simple and sobre 16th century doorway into a paved stone hall, the room enriched with vases, objets d’arts and antique moulds tastefully chosen to maintain the living memory of this place.
To the left one reaches the first hall, adapted for small receptions, for reunions or elegant events; it can aso be used as an area to sit back and enjoy some peace and quiet.
On entering, one’s glance is immediately captured by Capri, which through the window seems to be a something of a living painting, with its resplendant sea a-sparkle around it.
On the ground floor there is the triple room with bathroom en-suite (shower) and another bathroom near the living room (bath)
First floor:
The first floor of Villa Capri - The abode overlooking Capri, is the heart of this historical building in Massa Lubrense. On this floor one finds the most glorious and spacious terraces of the villa, with a breath-taking view over the entire Gulf of Naples and the Island of Capri.
Each room is steeped in history: the three bedrooms, the two comfortable bathrooms, one can alternate between the two very intimate and cosy rooms and three living area’s with period furnishings. All the area’s have windows or balconies which give a sense of being suspended above the sea.
The ‘suite’ has been conserved intact and is where Gioacchino Murat slept in 1808. Between these frescoed walls, English Commander Hudson Lowe agreed to surrender the Island of Capri to Murat.
